Excellent value for money. The Christmas decorations in the lobby and at the entrance to the lobby made a warm welcome for visitors. Outstanding employees at desk, breakfast room, and housekeeping. Would definitely stay here again.

Kind of confusing that the address in Hwy 76, but the hotel is actually on Francis.

  • Family with children

    The location and the price

The hotel staff wasnt very friendly during check-in or out. Very slow paced, as if they didn't want to be there. There was only one person checking in ahead of me and I had to wait 15 mins.

  • Older travelers

Front desk staff was very rude, very hiper, and their customer service was horrible. They had actually had our stay scheduled for the wrong month in their system. Had to show my confirmation to get a room. Another gentelman was a diabetic, and they wanted to charge him ten dollars a day for a refrigerator for his medication. Another potential customer lost.

  • Group of friends

our rooms were not ready at 5 pm, but there is NO WAY all of the rooms were dirty. I argued with the lady at the front desk and all of the sudden my rooms were clean. Nothing against her- I guess she just didnt know they were ready. She just should have checked before telling me they werent ready.

  • Family with children

Floors were dirty, trash was on the bathroom floor, spider webs hanging from the air-conditioner

  • Couple

The housekeeping was poor. There was hair in the coffee maker. None of the soda/ice machines worked in our entire complex area. Staff at the front desk was short and rude. The shower scalded us, as we were unable to adjust the water temperature to a cooler temperature. You can hear everything going on in the next room, more so than in other motel/hotels.

  • Older travelers

Location is easy to get to in a town that has a problem with traffic flow on busy weekends. Good price for the product offered.

Could have better televisions and a better cable offering.

    1. They are pet friendly!! Even so, the carpets were in good shape and it did not smell of pets. 2. The air conditioner was AWESOME!! 3. In room safe for valuables!

    1. The coffee maker in the room had dried crusty coffee remains .....for all three days I was there. I did not use the coffee maker. 2. Only one day of complimentary shampoo, conditioner and laundry bags were provided. Which isn't a big deal, unless you have forgotten to pack your own and suddenly you have none. 3. I booked my stay at and received an email with one price, but got to the hotel and was charged $50 more than what my email stated. Due to being tired after traveling, I just checked in and didn't really pay attention to the price. I assumed it would be the same as what my email notification stated. I was wrong. I knew there would be the pet fee, but at $6.95 a night for a small dog, that still does not equal $50. 4. While initially friendly, the one hotel staff member that seemed to be there to answer my questions via telephone, was a bit testy. 5. The beds were okay, just normal house looking beds. I'm used to having huge hotel-ish style beds. These were low to the floor and lacked sufficient blankets. (For those that don't like many blankets at night, this would not be an issue for you.) 6. The ice machine area had NO LIGHT. This was very un-nerving after dark. After the first night, I didn't even bother to get ice. Seemed unsafe to me. 7. The key cards were hinky. Had to jiggle them just right to get the door opened, even when the green light came on to show that access had been granted.

  • Older travelers

This was advertised as a Howard Johnson but was not. It had been sold and there was no sign at or on the hotel. It was also advertised as being on root 76th but was not on that road. We had a hard time finding the hotel

  • Family with children

It is close to everthing that we like to do while in Branson. Our girls also love the pool, especially the kiddie pool.

This is our second time to stay. The main reasons we came back was the pool and the warm breakfast. We will more than likely be staying elsewhere next year. The breakfast was not good. We were looking for the warm breakfast again and that is what was advertised online where we booked. Also, the cable was horrible! Not much to watch in the way of television. Very dissappointed this year!

  • Group of friends

    The location was great.

There was no signage for the hotel. The rooms were small. The air conditioning/heating units were filled with brown dust. The bathrooms were dirty. The television reception was horrible.

  • Family with children

The pool is a nice size compared to most Branson pools.

One hot tub was not working. The tile around the pool was dirty. The hotel had changed owners and was now named Hotel Branson. Several dissapointments including less items at breakfast, poor TV service (no top channels...we couldn't even watch the opening ceremonies of the Olympics!) The beds were in terrible condition, the box spring being duct taped to the bedframe on one and on the other both boxspring and mattress were actually bent in the middle and the boxsprings were almost reaching the floor in the middle. Absolutely horrible condition of the stains on the boxsprings (wonder why they didn't have mattress covers at least). We were very dissappointed on this stay. We had 2 rooms and both rooms' beds were in the same condition.

The hotel was clean and the staff were very friendly and helpful!! Pool was never to busy just to sit and relax and enjoy the sunshine. Plenty of parking. Right off the HWY 76 but with in walking distance to every thing, shows, food and family outings!! Would stay again, price and friendly service can't beat it!!!

  • Family with children

The room was clean, the staff was nice. The housekeeping was very good at restocking if we needed anything.

The drapes allowed light from parking lot/street to come through the windows, we had to put a blanket at the top to darken it. The "continental breakfast" was terrible choice and there was not enough to last for the times alloted for the breakfast. I have stayed at places that offered a much better breakfast and that is one thing I look for at a place to stay is the kind of choices for breakfast. It is much to expensive and time consuming with traffic to be looking for place to take the kids to eat. The hot tub was filled but blocked off with caution tape, the pool was nice. There are not any type of cigarette butt receptacles at any of the areas outside of the rooms so cigarette butts are everywhere in the decorative gravel and in the shrubs. The television reception and channel choices are terrible. There were very limited channels to watch and then you couldn't hear it well for all the buzzing and static of the tv. I think that I would recomend to others for the fact that the staff was very friendly but not for the amennities at all. I personally will not stay there again.

  • Older travelers

The only thing we liked was the location. It was a central location to all attractions. Upon arrival at 6:00 p.m. we did not have our reserved room available and was told to come back in an hour. We did get a king size bed but it was extremely uncomfortable!!!! The television had very few channels for viewing and was impossible to lay in bed to watch because the tv was so low. We were very disappointed in the hotel staff's attitude upon arrival and even more disappointed with the quality of the room. It was a non smoking room but reeked highly of cigarette smoke. The air conditioner worked very well and that was a big plus since we both are very hot natured. Overall, it was a fair stay at the Howard Johnson Hotel and we would not book there again!
